Told through the voices of the men, women, and children who journeyed to the Dakota Prairies in the 1880s, this play dramatizes the real lives of the first Dakota settlers. With lines taken from real historical text, this play weaves together true narratives and imagined scenes to create a tapestry of life on the prairie in all its hope, sacrifice, and beauty.
